You’d think these are fairly easy and basic things people wouldn’t do on dating apps, but that’s exactly the issue; they’re so common you don’t realize you’re doing them! Here are some of the common mistakes Hodge talks about:
- Using one dating app as the only source for dates.
Using different dating apps gives you more options. Why limit yourself to using just one dating app? If you’re out there really trying to meet someone (whether to date or hookup) shouldn’t you maximize your chances? And not just by using different dating apps, you should also go out and do it the offline way like going out to bars or taking up a group activity for example.
- Not showing enough or a true impression of themselves across their profile.
We all know this one. When a profile only has one picture, a non-existent bio, only group photos, highly filtered photos, or really old ones, it makes it difficult for other users to get an idea of who you are before actually getting to know you.
- Forgetting there’s a human on the other side.
Always be polite. No matter how horny you are, it’s not a good idea to jump right into dirty talk without making sure you have chemistry.
